1539: As the Dissolution wreaks havoc on England’s monasteries, an ancient brotherhood goes into hiding. In their possession is a collection of relics said to date from the time of Christ. Since arriving in England, their existence has been closely guarded.

Five centuries later, what became of them remains a mystery.

Present day: When the Deputy Director of the White Hart goes missing, Mike Hansen and Kit Masterson are surprised to learn that he was last seen visiting retired physicist Lord Newton, a descendant of the legendary Sir Isaac. As Masterson endeavours to locate the missing Deputy Director, Hansen’s mission involves the added complication of shadowing the scientist’s niece, London banker Rebecca Harchester, with whom he has a complicated past. When Harchester is violently kidnapped, his past and present collide.

An almost unbreakable code conceals a priceless relic - one that, according to legend, holds the key to unlocking the secrets of God. Guided by clues Sir Isaac Newton engraved into a replica of the legendary Excalibur, Mike and Rebecca must set aside their differences and decipher the code before it’s too late. A deadly enemy stands in their way, determined to succeed at any cost. However, success for Hansen potentially comes with its own risk.
